STA. CRUZ, Laguna—The three sons of Filipino domestic worker Flor Contemplacion, who was executed in Singapore 16 years ago, were transferred to the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City, a jail officer said Monday.

The three, who have been sentenced to life imprisonment for selling illegal drugs, were transferred Friday noon following the court resolution early this month convicting them of drug pushing, Senior Insp. Jerome Soriano, deputy warden of the San Pablo city district jail, said by phone.

Brothers Sandrex, 38, and twins Joel and Jun-Jun, 31, were arrested in October 2005 in a buy-bust operation in San Pablo City, Laguna. Anti-drug operatives reportedly recovered P3,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu.”

The siblings’ sister Russel, 33, who is presently an employee in the House of Representatives, told the INQUIRER in an earlier interview their plans to appeal the court’s decision. However, she did not give details on their legal move.

The family has until March 16 to file an appeal.

Flor Contemplacion was executed by hanging in Singapore in 1995 for the murder of fellow maid Delia Maga and her Singaporean ward.
