Quick response by Las Pinas firefighters save lives and properties

MANILA, Philippines—Firefighters contained a fire from engulfing a house inside a gated community in Las Piñas City early morning Wednesday, according to the police.
Residents of BF Resort Village in Talon 2 alerted the authorities around 2 a.m. when they saw smoke billowing from the house at Barcelon and Alejandrino streets.
A team of firefighters from the substation in the village, led by Insp. Aurelio Zalun, responded to the call.
The official declared the fire at first alarm at 2:37 a.m. It was put out an hour later.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
