Parañaque City holiday today

Parañaque City declared today, February 13 a special non-working holiday in commemoration of its 19th cityhood anniversary.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez yesterday said that President Duterte has issued Proclamation No. 144 series of 2017 which officially recognized February 13 as a special holiday in the city, saying ““it is but fulfilling that the people of Parañaque City be given opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.”

Olivarez said that the city kicked-off the week-long celebration with an ecumenical service, the 4th Cityhood Anniversary Job Fair where 400 applicants were hired on the spot, medical and dental missions, and awarding of the top ten outstanding taxpayers in 2016. (with a report from Jean Fernando)
