First day of classes in public schools set by DepEd already
In a memo, DepEd secretary Jesli Lapus announced that the first day of classes for School Year 2010-2011 will be on June 14, 2010 and shall end on April 8, 2011 or a total of 203 class days.
“Private schools may opt to deviate from this school calendar provided they do not start classes earlier than the first Monday of June and not later than the last day of August as provided for in RA No. 7797” but would need to complete the number of class days as prescribed by the Department.
My kids are rejoicing already.. haha 😀
Oh! its only for public schools…
