Munti Hall of Justice construction on

From Yahoo Philippines News:

Construction has started to build Muntinlupa’s own Hall of Justice, a joint project of the Muntinlupa City government and the Department of Justice.

The Hall of Justice is being built on a 1.3-hectare lot in Tunasan that was purchased by the city government to house the building.

Mayor Aldrin San Pedro said when the Hall of Justice is finished, it will be the permanent home of all regional trial courts and metropolitan trial courts in the city as well as the Muntinlupa Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Attorney’s Office.

“Courts in Muntinlupa are currently in different locations, a situation that is very inconvenient to the public. This will be solved when the Hall of Justice is done,” he said.

The Hall of Justice is expected to be finished in 10 months.

The mayor explained that the Hall of Justice will also ease traffic congestion near the city hall, where the prosecutor’s office and the courts are located.

A separate building will be built on the same lot that will house the Registry of Deeds and the satellite offices of the Local Civil Registry, Land Transportation Office (LTO), National Statistics Office, post office, a compact police station and the National Bureau of Investigation.

Hopefully, with the completion of the Hall of Justice, justice will truly come to victims in Muntinlupa. — Editor’s Note
