Relocation site for Paranaque illegal settlers eyed

Site development work is now underway at the 4.2 hectare parcel of land which the Parañaque City Government has earmarked as socialized housing site for families who are living in shanties along the banks of the Parañaque River.

Building structures/settling along “danger zones” like riverbanks creek sides, shorelines, rail road track sides or underneath a bridge, etc. is prohibited by law.

The project is geared towards the safety, health and improved living conditions of the informal settlers and protection of the environment.

Project proponents and partners include the City Government of Parañaque, Rotary Homes, Rotary Clubs, Gawad Kalinga and ANCOP Foundation, Inc.
