Fresnedi receives BFP Degree of Lakan for fire prevention programs

For his outstanding assistance to the city’s Fire Station, Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi was awarded with Medalya ng Pambansang Paglilingkod (Degree of Lakan) by the Bureau of Fire and Protection through the Department of Interior and Local Government.

BFP Muntinlupa Fire Marshal SUPT Bernard Rosete presented the award to the local exec last August 6 during the city’s flag raising rites. The award was conferred to recipients during the BFP’s 27th Anniversary with the theme, “Upgrading Capabilities, Empowering Communities.”

The agency lauded Fresnedi’s invaluable assistance and involvement in the development of the BFP through construction of an additional Fire Station, donation of a fire truck and a Thermal Imaging Device, among others.

 

In BFP’s Anniversary program, DILG Usec. Eduardo Año praised the local governments’ invaluable assistance and involvement in the development of the BFP which led to the enhanced competence of the whole organization thereby ensuring public safety and protection of the economic gains of the country.

Año lauded the construction of Muntinlupa City –Tunasan Fire Station amounting to P33-M, donation of one 146-Jupiter Fire Truck with 3,000 gallon capacity amounting to P12.9-M, and donation of Thermal Imaging Device to the local BFP enhancing the visual capability of Muntinlupa firefighters during zero visibility scenarios.

Fresnedi was among the three local chief executive in NCR who were awarded with the citation. Also receiving the award were Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and Makati City Mayor Mar-leni Abigail Binay.

BFP also cited Fire Stations with exemplary performance which include Talisay City Fire Station (Best City Fire Station), Valenzuela City Fire Station (Best in Over-all Appearance of Fire Station), Koronadal City Fire Station (Best in Personnel Readiness), Roxas City Fire Station (Best in Media Relations), Ormoc City Fire Station (Best in Pre-Fire Planning), and Laoag City Fire Station (Best in Data Management).
