DSWD, DILG Confer Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance to Las Piñas City

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda T. Aguilar (Center) and Vice Mayor April Aguilar (5th from Left) received the plaque of recognition for the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance, conferred by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Council for the Welfare of Children and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG),  from City Social Welfare Officer (6th from Left) Junet Barilla  and DILG Las Piñas City Director Mary Anne Planas (6th from Right) during the awarding ceremony held recently at the Las Piñas City Hall Grounds.

This is the second consecutive year Las Piñas City has been conferred the award for passing the child-friendly governance. The award recognizes the initiatives of the city government in promoting the welfare of the children. Also present during the awarding were Councilors Florante de la Cruz, Filemon Aguilar III, Julio Balanag, Rex Riguera, Lord Aguilar, Rachelle Dela Peña (SK President),  Danilo Hernandez, Bonifacio Riguera, and Ignacio Sangga.
