Coordinated buy bust operation in Alabang Town Center leads to confiscation of 20 kilos of shabu

Good job, everyone.

In a well-studied and well-thought of effort, the PNP Drug Enforcement Group and the PNP Drug Enforcement Agency, in coordination with the Muntinlupa City Police and the Alabang Town Center security agency, some 20 kilograms of shabu worth over P50M were confiscated in a buy bust operation around noon time in one of the parking lots in the mall.

In a tweet by ABS-CBN News Channel (care of reporter Maan Macapagal), they posted a photo of the confiscated drugs and confirmed that the entrapment operation was a success.

Reports said three people were arrested.

In a statement, Alabang Town Center officials had this to say:

“On March 23, 2018 at 12 noon, PDEA conducted a drug bust entrapment operation at the parking area outside Alabang Town Center.

PNP-DIG, PDEA, Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, Dir. Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa of PNP, Gen. Apolinario of NCRPO, Gen. Aquino of PDEA, PCP 5 chief De Guzman and Archie Lacson of Barangay Ayala Alabang immediately took charge of the incident, while ATC assisted bystanders in the area.

The operation was conducted as planned and with no incident due to our close coordination with the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Rest assured that the safety of our shoppers is our utmost concern. Security remains to be heightened as regular mall operations are underway.”
