Another horrifying incident occurred yesterday afternoon along SLEX as the car of motorist Tonio Lacdao, who was together with his wife and daughter were hit on the windshield as they were passing by the Alabang area heading northbound.

Hear his own story in his Facebook post below:

What kind of satisfaction do you get from throwing rocks sa SLEX?! Mga gunggong! Happened just now. Northbound before Alabang, my wife was driving with my daughter when A rock smashed our car windshield.

Better do something about it. Discipline them or report sa authorities. No its not fun/ funny. Its not exciting. Its criminal! This must stop!

This guy my girls approached, medyo mas iritable pa. Its as if sinisingil kayo sa damage, eh nagpapa assist lang naman. Customer nyo kami hindi kaaway.

This damage is gonna cost us some money. Lucky for us walang nangyaring mas malala pa. Buti na lang magaling yung driver. May pinagmanahan. So take care guys. Pray for safety. Always.

According to Lacdao, complaints with the traffic marshalls assigned in the area were not received well by the marshalls as they did not get any helpful assistance at all.

This is the second incident in less than a year that involved rocks being thrown at vehicles in that area.

The last one was along MCX heading to Cavite from SLEX.

Hopefully the authorities do something about this.

The people responsible for this need to be arrested.

Toll fees include security while driving on their roads, right?

If they cannot protect their customers then we just need to protect ourselves then.

Sad but true.

Anyway, we’re just glad that no one was hurt in this incident but something has to be done soon.

Take care, everyone!

It also happened to us last year in the same area but it hit the roof of our car so it was dented. We did not report it anymore. The SLEX security must be aware of these incidents but as usual they do not take action, and the sad part is pretty soon they will raise the toll fee. DU30 does not care as no drugs are involved or those doing these mayhem might be high on drugs.

Toll fees do include security within the expressway’s road right-of-way, but as the perpetrators are outside the ROW, the only thing that the operator can do is report the incident to the local police or the barangay, which has jurisdiction over the incident. The operator is constantly coordinating with the LGU on this matter. In most instances, however, the offenders are minors, who cannot even be arrested.

These are concerns left to the local authorities who should act on it.

Sana itigil na yang ginagawa nila or mahuli ng brgy or pulis muntinlupa yan habang minor plang insidente.
