Some areas in Las Pinas to have no water

As part of Maynilad’s maintenance works, some 32 barangays in Metro Manila including some in Las Pinas will experience waterless faucets for two to four days.

According to MWSS administrator Macra Cruz, the cause for this is the shutting down of the Angat Hydro Electric Power Plant for repair and maintenance by Napocor.

“Napocor promised to complete the job in two days’ time,” said Cruz.

Maynilad advised the affected areas to stock up on water to compensate for the hours and days without water.

In Las Pinas, barangays CAA (upper portion) and Talon 1 (upper portion) will experience water interuption from yesterday (Sept. 28) to possibly 9 p.m. on Sept. 30 (Thursday).

Some areas not mentioned by Maynilad will also experience low water pressure, according to them.

They said however that they had prepared five static water tanks and 24 water tankers to support those affected.
