P’que coop tiangge slated

Various cooperatives and livelihood groups will take part in the 3-day “tiangge” that has been scheduled on October 15-17, 2012 at the San Antonio Sports Complex at the back of the Parañaque City Hall.

 

Said flea market is one of the many activities that have been lined-up in connection with the celebration of the Cooperative Month in Parañaque. This year’s themes are “Transformative Cooperatives for People, Planet, Prosperity and Peace” and “Kooperatiba ay Pagyamanin, Mga Kasapi Paramihin”

The tiangge will be showcasing produce of member cooperatives and livelihood groups among them, income generating project beneficiaries organized by the Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office (PLRMO) of the City Government of Parañaque. The flea market promises good buys of food items, clothes, footwear and accessories.

Apart from the “tiangge”, the Parañaque Cooperative Development Council, Parañaque Cooperative Development Office and the Office of Councilor Benjo Bernabe organized other activities to promote the “cooperative way of life”, among them, “Talentadong Koop” and a cooperative congress.

“The cooperative movement continues to contribute to the improvement of the livelihood prospects of the citizens and development of the city. It is but fitting that our local government and all the citizens of the city support it.”, Parañaque Mayor Jun Bernabe said.
