Please be careful when passing by Longos in LP

We’re getting more and more visitors to the site. And with this, we’re getting more and more and more messages that can help everyone living in the area.

Here’s another one from Ms. Sue Banzon that can help everyone in securing your precious possessions and most importantly your lives:

this happened last thurs. July 22, 4:15 am, we have a 6:00am sked to PGH, we live here in Las Pinas, ..wala pang viaje ang TAS Trans via Lawton, at para hindi ma late sa appt.namin, no choice we have to take a jeep via baclaran….

we were 8 passengers aboard the jeep, 2 girls infront, 3 men na mamimili sa coastal for fish or shellfish equipped with pails, infront of me &  my husband was a, i supposed a college student with his shoulder bag & folding umbrella on hand…

upon approaching a dimly place in Longos, Zapote on our way to coastal…the jeep stop for passengers, we waited as the man was shouting, hoy ano b? thinking that he was calling his companion…to our surprise, he started pulling the shoulder bag of the student infront of me, i got the shock of my life & started shouting to the snatcher…hoy, mama, wag naman..& i started to move near the driver’s side, the student started hitting the snatchers hand & did not have the chance to grab the bag….

what puzzled us was the non reaction of the driver, he did not even speed away, we started conversing with each other inside the jeep becoz of the commotion, ask the student if he was okai, but i knew he was in shocked, and so was i  coz it was my first encounter of such,

we don’t know if the snatcher was with somebody else, becoz the place was sooo dim, & we concluded that the driver was inconived, becoz he was DEADMA about the incident…

we went down to baclaran to take another ride to Lawton, body shaking, & was todo alert….everything sink in while i was alone, what if he went inside & grab my bag instead, omg, ang dami nyang makukuha sa bag ko or shoot me bcoz i was begging him not to take the students bag, or if he was with 2 more bad men, it could have been a holdup….very traumatic…

I JUST WOULD LIKE TO THANK & PRAISE GOD, FOR COVERING US WITH THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS, & PROTECTING US WITH THE BLUE MANTLE OF MOTHER MARY, & TO MY GUARDIAN ANGEL ST. MICHAEL, whom i always pray to…

nakakatrauma, we don’t know who the next victim is, nakakainis coz they are real bad men out with their devil works… wala bang magagawa ang pulisya ng Las Pinas about this & the place, poorly lit…

brods & sis, be on alert always, & never leave your house equipped with prayers .

Calling on the Las Pinas Police (the area is still under Las Pinas, right?). Even if the area is near Cavite, we think that it is still a part of your responsibility to protect the thousands of Las Pineros who pass by the area. Calling on the Las Pinas government too. Maybe they can set up more lights in the area to make it safer for everyone. Aside from the email by Ms. Banzon, we have heard a lot of stories about the Longos area. It seems like everyone who passes by the area or waits for public transportation there are getting robbed. C’mon, Mayor Nene Aguilar, please do something about this. We don’t have to wait for someone to get seriously hurt or worse, dead, before we spring into action, right?

For the commuters, let us all be extra cautious when taking public transportation especially late at night and in the wee hours of the morning. Take off all your valuables like jewelry and also please refrain from using your cellphones as these will just serve as temptation for robbers.

We can’t warn you enough so let us all be extra careful. We’re hoping that the proper authorities do what they were elected and assigned to do for our fellow Southerners to be safe always.
