PDP-Laban, Liberal Party form political team in Muntinlupa

Members of political parties PDP-Laban and Liberal Party of the Philippines formed a political team under the incumbent Muntinlupa Mayor Jimmy Fresnedi for the 2019 midterm elections.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Jimmy Fresnedi filed Wednesday afternoon his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) before the local office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in South Park Mall in Barangay Alabang.

The re-electionist local executive filed his COC along with his running mate, Temy Simundac of the administration party PDP-Laban.

Fresnedi was accompanied by President Rodrigo Duterte’s Presidential Political Adviser Francis Tolentino who is taking another shot at the senate.

Likewise, Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon, also a PDP-Laban member, is seeking a fresh three-year term.

“This unprecedented move and show of unity in our city is for the continuity of the gains we have made for our constituents”, said Fresnedi.

The city council candidates were, Louisito Arciaga, Paty Katy Boncayao, Allan Rey Camilon, Alexson Diaz, Nicanor Echavez, Valentino Niefes, Arlene Hilapo, Mamerto Sevilla Jr. and Rodolfo Moldez, all from the Liberal Party.

Others were Raul Corro, Melchor Teves, Lester Baes, Marissa Rongavilla, Cornelio Miranda Martinez, Francis Ian Bagatsing and Neptali Santiago, all PDP-Laban members.

Fresnedi’s team will be pitted against the team of former Bureau of Immigration Deputy Commissioner Mark Red Marinas who filed his CoC on Monday.
