Parañaque has new police chief

MANILA, Philippines – Senior Superintendent Andrei Felix has taken over as chief of police of Parañaque City replacing Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran.

Felix formally assumed the post last Friday.

Beltran, meanwhile, was designated chief of staff of the Southern Police District.

Parañaque was declared by the Philippine National Police as one of the safest cities in Metro Manila in 2012.

PNP statistics showed that Parañaque is ranked number six among top 10 cities in Metro Manila with lowest crime rate.
