Parañaque has 4th cleanest air in the country; Las Piñas ranks 11th

The 2018 World Air Quality Report released the list of cities with the cleanest air and revealed that Parañaque placed fourth on the list for the Philippines with Las Piñas ranking 11th.

Calamba City in Laguna registered the cleanest air in South East Asia.

In the report, it said that the results were based on studies on measurements of fine particles known as PM2.5 which can penetrate into the airways to cause respiratory problems.

Calamba topped the study with an average of 9.3 PM2.5 last year.

“The report, compiled by Greenpeace and IQAir AirVisual, used air pollution data from tens of thousands of public and private monitoring stations across the world to rank over 3,000 cities from dirtiest down to cleanest.”

Parañaque registered a 12.2 PM2.5 while Las Piñas had a 17.9 PM2.5 average.
