Paranaque extends business permits renewal

Good news for all local business establishments which are rushing to beat the deadline for the renewal of their business permits. The Paranaque City Government under the leadership of Mayor Florencio M. Bernabe, Jr. extended the deadline of processing and payments therefore without penalties or surcharges.

The extension was made possible with the approval of City Ordinance No. 111 series of 2010 by the Paranaque City Council giving them ample time to prepare and process their necessary documents and pay the assessed amount which will lead to an organized and fast payment and renewal of their business permits.

“Knowing the difficulties of trying to secure the necessary requirements as well as facing pressure brought on by the current economic situation, we want to give them more time to accomplish this.”, Mayor Bernabe said.

The mayor added that his administration is deeply grateful for the support given by business establishments to the city government’s projects and programs.

He also reminded taxpayers to deal only with city employees when paying their dues to ensure that they pay the right amount for their fees and avoid being exploited to give more than they have to.

The deadline for the processing/billing of business permit renewal will be on January 26, 2010 while the last day for payment without penalties and surcharges will be on January 31, 2010.

The Business Permits and Licensing Office, Treasurer’s Office, EDP and support departments will be open on Saturdays falling within the grace period, particularly January 23 and 30 and on the last Sunday of the month, January 31, 2010.

The City hall parking grounds will be prioritized for taxpayers. (Public Information Office)
