Munti jewelry store robbed

MANILA, May 23 — Robbers broke into a jewelry shop in Muntinlupa City Saturday night and escaped with about P500,000 worth of assorted jewelry and other valuables.

Police Officer 3 Richard Bagoyo of the Muntinlupa Police Station-Criminal Investigation Division (CID) said the suspects ransacked the Jezza Jewelry Repair Shop located at the New Alabang Public Market in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

The shop owner, Zaldy Brina, 39, of 53 Belang’s Apartment, Ilaya St., Alabang, told police he discovered the robbery when he arrived to open his shop Sunday morning.

Brina said assorted silver and gold-plated jewelry and a cellular phone were taken by the robbers.

Investigations conducted by Bagoyo showed that the suspects accessed the jewelry shop by breaking a hole through the ceiling. (PNA) scs/CLTC
