LP helper claims lotto jackpot!

From tempo.com:

Manila, Philippines – Patience paid off for a 43-year-old flower shop helper of Las Pinas City, who, after betting patiently since the start in 1995 of the online lotteries of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), claimed last Tuesday the Mega Lotto 6/45 jackpot of P30,869,200.80 in the November 11 draw.

After a few weeks of draws with no winners, lucky bettors continued their winning ways, adding more members to the lotto instant millionaires’ club.

Two punters from San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, and Asingan, Pangasinan defied the Lotto 6/42′s one in 5.25 million odds to win and share the P84,100,212 bonanza in last Tuesday’s draw.

They both placed bets on the numbers 04-12-23-05-35-32, which turned out to be the Lotto 6/42′s winning combination.

No one won the P73,074,502.70 jackpot in the 655th draw last Tuesday of Super Lotto 6/49 with the winning combination 44-38-47-17-12-27.

PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said he was glad that some lotto bettors and their families will be able to have a merry Christmas season for winning in the lotto games.

He said he was happy for the flower shop worker, a housewife with two children, and her husband, who is a helper in an auto mechanic shop.

She and the two winners of Lotto 6/42 will surely be able to realize their dreams of a better life, said Rojas.

“I wish them the best and I hope they will handle and manage their new found wealth prudently. They should seek advice from banks on what to do with the rest of their money,” the PCSO official said. (Edd K. Usman)
