Las Pinas public school students winners in international Mathematics competitions

Students from Las Piñas City National Science High School won in international mathematics competition held in Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Mayor Imelda T. Aguilar (center) congratulated the young math wizards, namely, Coleen Adrianne L. Panganiban (3rd from left) – Silver Medalist at the 14th International Mathematics Contest held in Singapore from July 27-30; Alisha V. Ullah (2nd from left) – Bronze Medalist at the 2018 International Mathematics Wizard Challenge in Indonesia; and Gian Gaviola (3rd from right) – Bronze Medalist at the International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition (Philippine leg).

 

Mayor Aguilar lauded the efforts of the students and their mentors. “Continue to be a good role model to your fellow students and to bring pride to your school and to Las Piñas City,” she said to them.
Likewise present during the courtesy call of the students at the Las Piñas City Hall were Councilor Mark Anthony Santos (right), Dr. Loreta B. Torrecampo (Division Superintendent), Jennifer T. Erispe (Principal – Las Piñas City National Science High School), and Warlita Arzuga (coach).
