Las Pinas denies reports of missing children in the city

NOT TRUE.

This was the pronouncement of Las Pinas City police chief PCol. Segundo Lagundi Jr. today as he belied reports circulating online of children being kidnapped in the city and in the nearby cities as well.

“Walang katotohanan,” Lagundi Jr. said in a statement.

The Las Pinas Police force though, was still ordered by Mayor Mel Aguilar to be vigilant and to tighten security within the city by positioning checkpoints in strategic areas in the city.

She also encouraged Las Pineros to remain calm and to be more observant in their surroundings and to keep their eyes on their children.

Aguilar also reminded everyone not to believe everything they read online especially if there is no proof.

The mayor then urged her constituents to report to the police or their respective barangays should they detect suspicious activities or characters in their neighborhoods.

The Las Pinas Police Hotline is 8 5514601.
