FAME. It’s more fun in the Philippines!

This summer, the curtain rises once again to John Robert Powers’ FAME-themed stage event featuring the many talents of its students.  This time, the showcase pays tribute to things Filipino that identifies us as a people.

This FAME story is presented within the backdrop of the Filipino’s awesome talent for music and intense cultural fervor as evidenced from the many OPM songs and the rhythmic tunes and dances from fun-filled festivals and fiestas all over the country.  Imagine Dinagyang and Ati-atihan, for example, and immediately you connect to the soul of the Filipino.

This unique showcase will feature Award-winning songs from the famous Metro Pop Songwriting Contest , and from homegrown musicals like the Ramayana-inspired musical, Rama at Sita.

This 2012 Summer Showcase of John Robert Powers is another example of the Filipino joie d’vivre, with a storyline that rambles through a journey many people usually go through before achieving success and fame. This personal journey may have started painfully for some, but it eventually explodes in joyful celebration once success is achieved.

FAME—PINOY STYLE. Coming to RCBC Auditorium on May 29th, Tuesday, 8:00pm. Brought to you by John Robert Powers.
