Free vaccination in Las Pinas!

Manila, Philippines — To further stop the spread of measles, Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar ordered city health officials and health workers to conduct massive free vaccination against contagious viral disease by door-to-door operation to ensure that babies, young children and even pregnant women as well as adults are spared from the dreaded virus and death due to complications.

Aguilar also ordered doctors and nurses to provide full medical attention and treatment to residents especially those that were identified by the Department of Health (DOH) the three barangays in the city namely: Talon 2, Talon 5 and Pamplona Uno with a high number of cases reported.

He also told the health workers to look immediately after city residents diagnosed with measles to save them from further complications, particularly young children and infant.

The Mayor also urged parents to have their children vaccinated at the nearest health centers in their area.

“Kailangang maagap, mabilis at malawakan ang pagbabakuna kontra tigdas upang maiwasan ang paglaganap nito na maaring ikamatay ng pasyente (Immediate, swift and massive measles vaccination are needed to prevent complications that may cause death of the patient),” Aguilar said.
