Five foreigners nabbed in drug bust

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) — Five foreigners were arrested after authorities conducted a raid in a shabu laboratory in Parañaque City.

The foreigners were identified as Yun-Pong Hsu, 56; Yu-teng Cheng, 53; Yun-Chun Huang, 43; Kun-Lin yu, 51; and Horng-Jen Tsai, 58.

All of the suspects are Taiwanese nationals. Cheng was identified as a chemist.

According to Supt. Ismael Fajardo of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Illegal Drug special operations force unit 3, they along with the Parañaque police conducted a raid on a kitchen-type shabu laboratory inside a two-storey house on Santissima Street, San Antonio Valley.

The foreigners have been renting the house for almost two years.

The authorities also recovered P150 million worth of chemicals used to manufacture drugs. — Report from DZMM
