Ease in traffic flow along Daang Hari expected as flooding issue resolved

Please read an update from Barangay Ayala Alabang with regard to the Daang Hari flooding in the area of Landers and TS Cruz:

As of mid-morning on Friday, November 16, 2018, flooding along Daang Hari Road within the area between Ayala Alabang Village and TS Cruz Subdivision has subsided. This was after Barangay Ayala Alabang agreed to unblock AAV’s storm drain which was earlier blocked as investigation was ongoing on the source of possible sewer waste being emptied into a creek in AAV. The blockage resulted in the overflow of water; and consequently, heavy traffic in the said area.

The agreement was reached in a meeting led by Las Piñas Councilor Henry Medina with representatives of BAA, Las Piñas City Engineering Office, the DPWH and Ayala Land in attendance. Kap Baes agreed to unblock the AAV storm drain after Las Piñas City Engineering and the DPWH conducted cleaning of manholes and drain pipes in the area that have become silted over time. Now that these have been cleaned, clear water (possibly from Maynilad) is visible.

Even as Ayala Alabang’s storm drain has been unblocked, BAA will see to it that continuous monitoring against dirty water entering our drains will be conducted.

With this, netizens are hoping that the traffic in the area will ease up a bit.
