COA head victim of carnapping in front of Conti’s BF

MANILA, Philippines – A lone carjacker seized at gunpoint Commission on Audit (COA) chairman Reynaldo Villar’s Toyota Fortuner at BF Homes, Parañaque Tuesday morning.

In a phone interview, Villar said he had just boarded his Toyota Fortuner (ZRV 927) parked in front of Conti’s Pastry Shop & Restaurant when an armed man suddenly boarded the vehicle on the passenger side.

Villar said the man pointed a .caliber 45 pistol at him and ordered him off the vehicle. He said the incident happened at around 11 a.m.

The COA chief has yet to provide further details, saying that he was traumatized by the incident.
