To pre-empt the traffic congestion anticipated for All Saints Day in parts of Dr. A. Santos Avenue (DASA) adjacent to the two memorial parks in the city, the Local Government Unit of Parañaque will redirect traffic and open alternative routes in cooperation with various subdivision homeowners associations and federation in Brgy. B.F. Homes.

All other vehicles bound to Loyola Memorial Park and Sucat Highway may turn right at DASA-Lopez, taking El Grande; making a left turn at Aguirre then another left at President’s Avenue where the motorist may opt to go straight ahead or to turn right at Jackilouville and Doña Irenea Avenues exiting (turning right) at DASA-Irineville/Caltex junction.

Coming from Sucat Highway, all vehicles bound to Manila Memorial Park shall take the inner and middle lanes while all other vehicles and PUJs bound for Baclaran shall use the outer lane or turn left at DASA-President’s Ave. junction; taking a right at Aguirre and another right at El Grande then exiting (turning left) at the DASA-Lopez intersection.

“All Saints’ Day is an important day for us Filipinos. It is the time when we remember our loved ones who have passed away and reflect on the memories that we shared with them. We want to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during this solemn occasion so that citizens can have that precious moment for prayers for their dear departed.” Parañaque Mayor Jun Bernabe said.

The city’s local chief executive also said that in addition to traffic enforcers posted in various parts of main thoroughfares, policemen and barangay tanod will conduct mobile and foot patrols while the Parañaque Emergency Response Unit (P.E.R.U.) of the City Health Office and the Parañaque Branch of the Philippine Red Cross will set up First Aid stations in various places where droves of people are expected to converge.
