MANILA, Philippines – A woman who abducted her friend’s 8-month-old son in Bacoor, Cavite was arrested on Wednesday night.

The suspect, Emily Nilao, was arrested by Bacoor Police in Las Piñas City during an an entrapment operation.

According to Connie Santianez, Nilao offered to babysit his son “Lester” last Tuesday.

She said she did not hesitate to give her baby since she has known the suspect for two years.

She added that it was not also the first time she asked the suspect to babysit for her.

Later that day, Nilao allegedly asked through text P20,000 from Santianez in exchange of her baby.

Nilao said the money she asked from Santianez was for all the things she bought for the baby.

“Hindi ko naman kasi intensyon talaga na nakawin ang anak mo eh, patawarin mo na lang ako,” Nilao said.

Santianez, however, did not accept Nilao’s excuse and plans to file charges against her.

“Hindi ko po yun inutang sa kanya, kusa niya po yung binibigay sa akin,” Santianez said.

“Pagdusahan niya yung ginawa niya. Sobrang bait ko sa kanya,” she added. – Report from Dominic Almelor, ABS-CBN News
