Young woman found dead inside Alabang hotel; Police and family looking for alleged boyfriend to find out what happened
Police and the family of a young woman who passed away in Sogo Alabang a day ago are asking the help of everyone to help them find the supposed boyfriend of the deceased who was reportedly the last companion of the victim.
The family of Janelle Torres, 21 years old, is seeking the help of anyone who could locate her boyfriend Renato Porras Magno Jr. or also known as JhayR who was supposedly the last person seen with the victim.
In the police report, it was said that the body of Torres was found lifeless inside a room in Hotel Sogo Alabang (National Road) by a hotel supervisor.
According to the hotel manager, the victim, together with her male companion (a certain JR), checked in at the hotel around 10:45am of May 29, 2018 and availed of the 12-hour accommodation.
Around 5pm of the same day, the male companion went to the front desk and requested for a four-hour extension.
“JR” also surrendered the key card, paid for the bill then left the hotel.
The hotel manager added that they decided to have the room checked after there was no response to several of their wake up calls for check out.
Upon opening the door, the supervisor then discovered the lifeless body of the victim who was lying on the bed.
She was wearing a floral blouse and black cycling shorts.
The staff of Hotel Sogo Alabang then called on Muntinlupa Police personnel.
The Muntinlupa City Rescue Team also responded to the hotel’s call and tried to revive the victim but already found no signs of life.
The body of the victim was then brought to Royalty Funeral Homes in Las Pinas City.
The victim was from Las Pinas.
In the death certificate provided to Alabang Bulletin, the cause of death was listed as “Acute Hemorrhagic Pancreatitis”.
Upon researching, it is usually caused by gallstones or alcohol abuse.
According to a Facebook post by a family member, JhayR has not returned to their house in Bacoor, Cavite.
Torres’ family is dumbfounded as to why JhayR left her in the hotel room and has been in hiding since.
Police have not ruled out foul play since the boyfriend has not contacted them or the family and is asking JhayR (or anyone who knows his whereabouts) to contact them so they will know what really happened.
We offer our condolences to Torres’ family and hope that they find out what really happened soon for their own peace of mind.
