Last week was the opening of the Muntinlupa-Paranaque Las Pinas Football Association Youth League.
With the league, the organizers want to educate the younger members of the society about the basics of the game and how they can benefit from it even outside of playing the sport.
Together with The Younghusband Football Academy, the league aims to “maximize the potential of young footballers by harnessing their skills.”
“Football is best learned when young,” said the organizers last week.
The league “kicked off” last July 24 at the Alabang Country Club inside Ayala Alabang.
As part of the opening, the organizers shared info about 1GOAL–a campaign for the 2010 FIFA World Cup that promotes education.
