Watch Pacquiao-Marquez III in Paranaque for FREE!

Here’s good news for Parañaque Pacquiao fans, boxing enthusiasts and sports aficionados.

In support to the “Pound-for-Pound King”, the Parañaque City Government under the leadership of Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. arranged for the public showing of the Pacquiao-Marquez III title fight in selected venues in the city’s first and second Districts.

Interested Paraquenos can proceed to the covered courts of Brgy. Baclaran, Brgy. Don Bosco, Brgy. San Antonio, Barangay BF Homes and in Brgy. Don Galo on Nov. 13 (Sunday) to enjoy this.

The “live via satellite” free showing of the WBC Super Welterweight title match was coordinated with the franchise holders, service providers and barangay officials by the Youth and Sports Development Office (YSDO) headed by Mr. Louie Perez and the Office of Councilor Benjo Bernabe.

The title fight will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, USA on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 8:00 A.M. (Philippine time).

The designated public viewing venues include Baclaran Elementary School, Don Bosco, Don Galo and San Antonio Gymnasiums.  Inquiries may be made with the YSDO at 2/F Parañaque City Hall.

“Manny has triumphed over Marquez before and will emerge as victor again. We join the nation in support of the “Pambansang Kamao” as he steps into ring to give another spectacular performance and gain honors for the country.” Mayor Bernabe said.

Early on April 2005, Mayor Jun Bernabe approved City Resolution No. 05-024 series of 2005, a local legislation adopting Manny Pacquiao as a son of the City of Parañaque in recognition of his achievements and considering that he has properties in the city.
