“We want to make sure that the first day of school would fruitful day for our students so that they will continue to be motivated to go to schools and focus on their studies.  With the establishment of PADS as well as the heightened visibility of police officers, we believe that we can make the first day of the school a good day,” Mayor Bernabe said.

Mayor Bernabe also called on students to stay with the campus grounds to prevent them from falling prey to criminals who would do them harm.  He also reminded parents to keep a close watch over their children, especially those who are at elementary and kindergarten levels.

Prior to the opening of classes, the Parañaque LGU also provided paint and cleaning materials to school officials, students and volunteers during the launching of the Brigada Eskwela last May 21, 2012. This is to make sure that classrooms as well as school facilities are ready to accommodate students for the School Year 2012-2013.
