Police officer shot and killed in Las Piñas City

A police officer was shot and killed inside his car early Wednesday morning in Barangay Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Piñas City.

The victim was a police officer with the Pasay City Police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group (SAID), where he had been working for over two years.

A security guard who was on duty near the crime scene did not see shooting, but heard several gunshots.

Police investigators, meanwhile, were able to recover a slug and four shell casings from the scene.

The motive for the killing remained unclear, nevertheless investigators are continuing to work on possible leads. — DVM, GMA News
