PNR: Operations still disrupted due to flooded tracks in Muntinlupa

From gmanetwork.com:

Operations of the Philippine National Railways remained disrupted Wednesday due to its flooded tracks in Muntinlupa City.

In a post on its Twitter account, the PNR said its engineering team went to Laguna to get ballasts to elevate the tracks.

“As of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, water levels at Cupang (are) 6.5 inches. All PNR south Manila commuter trains (are) still up to Sucat only,” it said.

The PNR added the water level at Putatan is down to five inches, but noted the safe water level for travel must be only four inches or below.

It said a PNR engineering/maintenance train left at 4:21 a.m. for Calamba to load ballast to be used in elevating the Putatan section of the tracks.

The PNR had to cut its operations in past days due to flooding at its tracks in Muntinlupa City.
