Police shot it out with armed men on a motorcycle in Parañaque City on Saturday night, killing one and triggering a hunt for two others who got away.

Patrolling members of the San Dionisio Police Community Precinct (PCP) have yet to identify the gunman who they shot and killed in an encounter at 11:45 p.m

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) later collected the .38-caliber revolver used by the fatality, four bullet casings in the chamber, and a sachet of “shabu” in his pocket.

Police who engaged in the shootout said they had tried to stop a motorcycle along San Juan de Coastal Street, Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque City because it had three men on board – a violation of a city ordinance – and no license plate.

But instead of stopping, the motorcycle maneuvered away from police and its two backriders allegedly shot at the lawmen.

Police returned fire, hitting one of the backriders who fell off the motorcycle. His body has been removed from the scene and taken to the People’s Funeral Homes for autopsy and safekeeping.

The investigation into the identity of the two other suspects and whether or not they were riding a stolen motorcycle is ongoing.
