P1M allowance, cause of Revilla death?

From abs-cbn.com:

MANILA, Philippines – Police on Wednesday said sibling rivalry over the family’s monthly allowance, allegedly reaching P1 million, could be the motive behind the killing of aspiring actor-politician Ramgen “Ram” Revilla.

Senior Superintendent Billy Beltran, Parañaque City police chief, said they are looking into the possibility that Revilla was killed due to a growing squabble with fellow siblings over the monthly allowance provided by the Revilla patriarch, former senator Ramon Revilla Sr.

A news report from The Philippine Daily Inquirer said the monthly allowance was around P1 million but Beltran denied receiving reports of such an amount.

However, he said the maids of the Revillas revealed that the siblings were fighting over the money.

“Wala naman po (silang) nabanggit na amount,” Beltran said.

Ram was shot and stabbed dead in his house in Phase 6, BF Homes in Parañaque City before midnight on Friday. His girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, was shot in the face but is now recovering at the Asian Hospital in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Police on Tuesday filed murder and frustrated murder charges against 7 people, including 2 Revilla siblings, for the murder of Ramgen Revilla and the attack on Manahan.

Ramgen was the eldest of the nine children of Revilla Sr. and Genelyn Magsaysay.

Ramona at large

Beltran said 4 more suspects in the murder remain at large, including Ramona Revilla, sister of Ram.

Another Revilla sibling, Ramon Joseph, who was arrested on Monday, has been implicated as the mastermind of the crime.

The police filed a charge of frustrated murder against Ramona, who earlier claimed that she was kidnapped by the suspects before being abandoned in Las Piñas.

The police, however, suspect that Ramona’s claims were made up to absolve herself as having a hand in the crime.

“Lumalabas po kasi na wala naman pong abduction na nangyari sapagkat siya po’y nakitang papalabas ng bahay ng mga oras na iyon,” Beltrain told dzMM’s Failon Ngayon.

The Revilla family said they are not aware of Ramona’s whereabouts. Revilla family spokesperson Portia Ilagan said the family will cooperate with authorities in the investigation.

P19,000 advance

Beltran said aside from Ramona, police authorities have identified Glaiza Vista, Noreen Dela Cruz, and a certain Bryan as having planned the murder at an unidentified location.

He said this information came from suspect-turned-witness Rowell Puzon.

According to Beltran, Puzon disclosed Ramon Joseph paid P19,000 in advance to buy the gun used in the crime.

Puzon was allegedly recruited by Glaiza to join the group that carried out the murder of Ram Revilla.

Beltran said the group had previously attempted to enter Ram’s house last October 12. When they failed to carry out their plan, they met again last October 17, and on October 28, the group successfully carried out its plan.

Triggerman

The police have yet to identify the triggerman in the killing but suspect that it could be Michael Cruz Altia or Roy Francis Tolisora.

Altia and Tolisora were arrested Monday and underwent inquest proceedings Tuesday.

Beltrain explained that investigation is ongoing to identify the gunman, who was reportedly wearing Halloween masks when he killed Ram.
