Overseas job fair slated in P’que; Read details here

Good news for jobseekers who wish to work abroad!

The Parañaque City Government under the leadership of Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. will be holding an overseas job fair on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Event Center, Building B of SM City Sucat in Brgy. San Dioniso.

The job fair was organized by the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), the Public Employment Service Office (P.E.S.O.) led by Ms. Doris Marquez and the Office of City Councilor Benjo Bernabe. It is part of this LGU’s efforts to provide more job opportunities for its constituents.

“We are committed to help our constituents find work both locally and overseas.  By organizing more job fairs, we give them more chances of getting good jobs that will enable them to support and create a better future for their families,” Mayor Bernabe said.

More than 50 companies will be taking part in the said job fair offering a wide variety of job openings from skilled labor to professional career-type jobs to ensure that jobseekers will be able to apply to as many companies as they can thereby increasing their chances of getting hired.

Applicants must bring ID photos, resume, diploma, transcript of records, NBI clearance and other important documents for the said job fair.

Councilor Benjo Bernabe called on jobseekers to take part in the said job fair and urged them to keep applying until they finally get hired.  He also thanked the POEA for supporting this activity that will get more residents in the city find work abroad.

Last month, Councilor Bernabe in cooperation with SYKES held a call center job fair at the Parañaque City Hall where many jobseekers were accepted as customer service representatives.
