Number Coding along Commerce Ave. suspended; Muntinlupa Number Coding now restricted to Alabang-Zapote Road

With several inquiries on whether the number coding scheme along Commerce Ave. is still ongoing, Alabang Bulletin contacted Barangay Ayala Alabang — the main proponents of the traffic scheme and we have confirmed that the scheme is temporarily suspended.

“Number Coding is still suspended, as of now,” revealed Barangay Ayala Alabang chairman Ruben Baes in a conversation with Alabang Bulletin yesterday.

We received reports that no security guards or traffic enforcers had been manning the Alabang highway the past few days.

One reader also said that one guard confirmed the suspension.

Now, Barangay Ayala Alabang has also confirmed it.

It can be remembered that the barangay implemented the traffic scheme several months ago to combat the constant heavy traffic along Commerce Ave.

We are still confirming why it was suspended and one can only assume if it is an order from Muntinlupa City Hall.

We shall update this post once we get more information from BAA chairman Ruben Baes.

So for those asking, for now, Muntinlupa Number Coding is only limited to the parts of Alabang-Zapote Road.

they should never have implemented there in the first place, there’s no congestion there unlike alabang-zapote and I only use it for coding days as alternate route. i hope they never bring it back again
