New PNP chief in Paranaque

Parañaque City’s local and barangay officials headed by Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. on Wednesday welcomed DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo, NCRPO Director Nicanor Bartolome, SPD Director Jose Arne de los Santos and DILG Regional Dir. Renato Brion. The visit coincided with the consultative meeting of the Parañaque City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) and the Turnover Ceremony of the Parañaque PNP.

The former is a conference of P’que LGU, PNP, BFP, BJMP, judiciary, other participating national government agencies and non-government organizations on the crime situation in the city, equivalent response and pre-emptive initiatives. CPOC is chaired by the local chief executive. Its Secretariat is headed by P’que DILG Dir. Gloria Aguhar.

The latter event visit saw the change in command in the Parañaque PNP. Named new Parañaque Chief of Police (COP) was P/SSupt. Nestor Pastoral. He replaced outgoing COP P/SSupt. Alfredo Valdez who has completed his tour of duty in the city and is being moved up to another post.

Eutecio Oña; SPO4 Charlie Bayoca, Rogelio Legaspi, Glenn Amongol and Edwin Bagacina; SPO2 Sergio Antonino; PO3 Rolando Gelacio, Ferdinand Ramos, Herbert Paus, Raymundo Gabriel, Dennis Dia and Arnold Libres; PO2 Regalado Adriatico, Jr., Danilo Bautista, Cesarie Soquiña, Romy Brezuela, Roger Ramos, Leonilo Quiambao and Froilan Manuel; and PO1 Rene Santos.

Accorded the PNP Commendation Medal under Gen. Orders No. 111 were P/SInsp. Abraham Gabuna, Jr.; PO2 Adrian Valencia, Alfred Domosmog and Arlan Perez; and PO1 Aksan Tangkapa.

Awarded the PNP Efficiency Medal under Gen. Orders 110 were P/CInsp. Enrique Sy; P/Insp. Eutecio Oña; SPO1 Victoriano Santos; PO2 Porferio Vesliño, Sherwin Somera, Leonilo Quiambao, Paulino Collong and Froilan Manuel.

Given letters of commendation, also having demonstrated efficiency and devotion to duty for arrest of felons were P/CInsp. M.Chavez; SPO4 W. Aler; SPO2 M. Laureta, S. Antonio and R. Lumapas; PO3 R. “On the occasion of the Parañaque PNP change of command, I thank outgoing COP P/SSupt. Alfredo Valdez for his invaluable contributions to the city’s fight against crime and welcome the incoming Parañaque Chief of Police P/SSupt. Nestor Pastoral to our fold.”, Mayor Bernabe said

“The Parañaque City Government has provided the Parañaque PNP, together with the BFP a new multi-level building for its central headquarters. In addition, we have donated new patrol cars, pursuit motorcycles, communication equipment, PC sets, firearms, ammunitions and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV). We reaffirm our commitment of continued support to the Parañaque PNP to further boost its capability in battling crime.”, he added.
