Muntinlupa Police Intel recognized

The Muntinlupa City Police Station Intelligence Section was adjudged as the best performing unit in 2009 in the entire Southern Police District.Muntinlupa Police Senior Insp. Giovanni Martinez said Muntinlupa’s Intelligence Section got the highest number of significant accomplishments and garnering the highest points in performance evaluation over Makati, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Taguig, Pasay and Pateros police stations in 2009.The Muntinlupa Police Intel Section received a certificate of commendation signed by Police Chief Supt.
Jaime Calungsud Jr., district director, and Supt. Adolfo Samala Jr., chief of the District Intelligence Division, during an awarding ceremony held recently.In his commendation letter to the Muntinlupa Intel Section, Samala said, “through your excellent teamwork, diligence and competence imbued with the high sense of responsibility, your effort to elevate the ranking of the South Police District Intelligence Division had been successfully achieved.”
“By this splendid achievement, you earned the district credit not only for yourselves but to the entire Southern Police District, NCRPO as well,” the letter also said.Muntinlupa Mayor Aldrin San Pedro congratulated the Muntinlupa Intel Section for the award.“The award is a recognition of the hard work of the Muntinlupa Intel Section and the entire Muntinlupa Police,” he said.He also commended Martinez and Senior Supt. Elmer Jamias, Muntinlupa Police chief, for their outstanding leadership in maintaining peace and order in the city.
Among the accomplishments of the Muntinlupa Intel team include the arrest of wanted persons, and identification of organized crime groups including the notorious Alvin Flores Group which was allegedly responsible for taking about P4 million in payroll money inside Park Trade building in Ayala Alabang in Muntinlupa last year.The Intel team also arrested Julius Niras, 34, of San Pedro, Laguna, who was sixth on Muntinlupa Police’s most wanted list, by virtue of a warrant for rape issued by a Muntinlupa judge.Martinez also said the intel section was responsible in identifying two active policemen who were involved in hijacking.
