MANILA, Philippines – The chief of the Muntinlupa City police was relieved following a raid on a jueteng den in Barangay Putatan last month.

Sixteen people were arrested, while several jueteng paraphernalia were confiscated.

Superintendent Jenny Tecson, spokesperson of Southern Police District, said Senior Superintendent Ramiro Bausa’s relief was part of the one-strike policy of the Philippine National Police against police heads in areas where the illegal numbers game continue to proliferate.

Superintendent Porfirio Calagan, the Muntinlupa police’s deputy chief for administration, replaced Bausa.

Calagan assumed the post last March 29.
