Muntinlupa Day (March 1) will not be moved to Monday (Feb. 28)

We know PNoy lessened the number of long weekends for this year that’s why a lot of people (us, including) are always hopeful that things go our way and long weekends do come about for some reason.

A lot of Muntinlupa residents had been asking us whether Muntinlupa Day (March 1) would be moved to Feb. 28 (Monday) so that Muntinlupenos get to enjoy a long weekend.

According to the Public Information Office of Muntinlupa City Hall, “the charter day of Muntinlupa is still on March 1st as per stated on Republic Act 9191 that declares it as a special non-working holiday.”

So students and workers in Muntinlupa (depending on the company though) will still be observing Muntinlupa Day on March 1 (Tuesday) and will enjoy having no classes or no work.

Maybe it’s still best to ask your Human Resource head or your school admin to make sure.

At any rate, it will not be moved.
