The 4-kilometer Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) is set to open on July 24, allowing motorists to get to Cavite via the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

As previously reported, MCX starts at the junction of Daang Reyna and Daang Hari in Las Piñas/Bacoor, Cavite. Then, it connects to SLEX through the Susana Heights Interchange in Muntinlupa. The link-road will use the Susana Heights Interchange as exit and entry from north-and south-bound lane of SLEX.

With that in mind, MCX has released an advisory on how to access the expressway from SLEX/Makati.

(1) Motorists should keep right after the Shell station on SLEX southbound.

(2) There will be a new toll plaza 800 meters before the old Susana Heights exit. This toll plaza will be a shared exit of MCX and Susana Heights.

(3) 300 meters upon entry, motorists should turn right to access the exit bound to MCX.

(4) On the other hand, motorists going to Susana Heights should go straight.

The MCX is the first contract auctioned off under the Aquino administration’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. The project is under the Department of Public works and Highways with a build-transfer-operate agreement with a concession period of 30 years. Constuction of the expressway was done by Ayala Corp. through AC Infrastructure Holdings Corp.
