Maynilad explains cause of irregular water supply availability in the south

Waterless days are here again.

Residents of Muntinlupa, Las Pinas and Paranaque have been up in arms (not good without water) over the irregular schedule of water availability being provided by Maynilad in the past couple of days.

In a statement, Maynilad Water Services, Inc. explained why this was so.

“There is an unscheduled water supply interruption and significant increase in the turbidity affecting our customers in Muntinlupaand portions of Las Pinas, Paranaque and Cavite City due to the Amihan season’s winds stirring up the sediments of Laguna Lake’s lake bed. This has constrained us to reduce the production of our treatment plant in Muntinlupa,” mentioned Maynilad in their Facebook account.

Customers who have questions can contact Maynilad via their:

Hotline – 1626
Email – customer.helpdesk@mayniladwater.com.ph
Text Hotline – 0998-8641446
Facebook – MayniladWater
Twitter – @maynilad

Confused with regular updates on water unavailability, many residents are calling for Maynilad to provide trucks with water tanks to provide them with water supply.

All affected residents are hoping “ginhawa” will come soon via regular water supply.

The Amihan season is nothing new., therefore the reason does not hold. On the other hand, the supplying of water to many new customers before resolving this issue has caused a problem. It is called “Maynilad greed.of profit”, at the expense of us, the consumer.
