LTO Muntinlupa Extension Office to set Saturday for printing of driver’s license cards valid for 5 years

In a Facebook post the other day, the LTO Muntinlupa Extenstion Office announced that it would be setting aside its Saturdays for printing of driver’s license cards for those who renewed their licenses from Oct. 17, 2016 until August 25, 2017.

They announced that since the implementation of the test run and roll-out of the release of the 5-year valid driver’s licenses, they could only print 100 to 120 cards per day as average processing time usually take around 8 to 10 minutes.

“With additional workstations recently installed, we hope to double our production in succeeding days to address the office license backlogs,” the agency mentioned on Facebook, adding that there are around 25,655 licenses included in the backlog.

In an effort to make the system more efficient, they are setting aside Saturday for the backlogs as well as implementing a system for scheduling of claiming the license cards.

For those who renewed their licenses in between the dates mentioned above, you can do the following:

  1. Send them a Private Message on their Facebook Page (LTO Muntinlupa Extension Office)
  2. Include the following information: Name, License Number and Date of Renewal
  3. Wait for a schedule when you can pick up your license

“We will schedule by appointment the printing of your cards at your convenient time on weekends,” they noted.

You can also suggest a day and time when you can have it printed at their Tunasan office (along National Highway — in between SM Muntinlupa and Pepsi).

“With everyone’s cooperation, we envision to achieve a zero backlog by the end of 2017,” they said.
