LP resident shoots helper after inuman

MANILA, Philippines – A rice store owner allegedly shot one of his helpers when the latter reportedly became unruly during a drinking session in Las Piñas City Saturday night. According to initial reports, trader Louie Lajara, 30, was enjoying drinks with stay-in helper Ariel Estela, 20, and other employees on the rooftop of the Lajara Rice Mill Store in Saint Louis Village, Talon 3 when the incident occurred.

Lajara, a native of Batangas, fled after shooting Estela, who is reported to be in critical condition at the Perpetual Hospital due to a gunshot wound in the chest.

Police officers recovered a .45 caliber pistol allegedly used in the shooting and are searching for Lajara.
