Las Pinas Photo Contest still accepting entrees

The Las Pinas City government is still accepting entrees to its photo contest with the theme of “Tuloy-Tuloy ang Serbisyo”.

The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers and photo enthusiasts, ages 18 and above, and bonafide residents of Las Piñas.

Photo entries must depict the “Tuluy-tuloy na Serbisyo” theme, highlighting the projects and programs of the City of Las Piñas such as: Best Practices in Good Governance; Free Hospitalization/Green Card; Free Education (Daycare to College, IT and Manpower Training); Clean and Green Environment (street sweepers, garbage compactor trucks, etc.); Livelihood and Skills Development Program; Urban Poor Renewal and Development; Infrastructure Development; Historical Corridor; Water Lily Livelihood Program and Sagip-Ilog Project.

Entry forms are available at the Office of Media Affairs and Public Information, Las Piñas City Hall or can be downloaded from the website: laspinascitygov@yahoo.com or Facebook page: City of Las Piñas.

Each contestant may submit three (3) entries of various subjects with corresponding title and caption; must be in 11”x14” full color prints; and accompanied by a digital file in CD/DVD.

Entries must have no watermark or identifying mark on the images. Any type of camera may be used for taking the photo/s.

Entries will be judged according to its thematic relevance (40%); creativity and originality (30%); and clarity and quality of the photograph (30%). Contest materials must be unpublished or not submitted as entry in any other competitions.

The first prize will receive P20,000 while the second placer will get P15,000 and the third placer P10,000. P2,000 will be awarded to each of the 15 runners-up. The 30 semi- final entries shall be exhibited in a Las Piñas City mall.

All photo entries must be officially submitted on or before 5 p.m., of November 12, 2015 (Thursday).
