LAS Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar said the city offers scholarships to some 3,000 high school graduates and out-of-school youths (OSY).
A total of 2,000 slots are available at Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Information Technology Training Institute (DFCAITTI) for school year 2013-2014, while the rest will be accommodated to 4-year business courses at Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College of Las Piñas (DFCAMCLP) and at Las Piñas City Manpower Training Center for those who want to acquire vocational skills.
The mayor added that those who could not be accommodated to the IT school can also avail of the scholarship program through the Las Piñas City Manpower Training Center.
Aguilar explained that the scholarship program is his commitment to provide young Las Piñeros with free and quality college education to prepare them for a brighter future.
In addition the program will prepare the youths to acquire necessary skills if they plan to work abroad or decide to put up small scale business/backyard business.
