Las Piñas beauty wins Ms. World-Philippines

MANILA — Las Piñas beauty Queenierich Rehman bested 24 other candidates in this year’s Ms. World-Philippines pageant.

Aside from the coveted crown, the 23-year-old contestant also took home the Ms. Pantene award and Best in Swimwear trophy.

Rehman also won P1 million, a Hyundai Eon car, dental services, one year supply of Manny O. wines and luggage from Word Travelers.

 She stands five feet-seven inches and strut the catwalk with her vitals 33-25-34.

This year’s title holder once joined Bb. Pilipinas pageant with Ms. Universe 4th runner-up Shamcey Supsup, but never placed in the final 5.

The first princess crown was given to Mary Anne Misa from Paranaque City, followed by Vanessa Amman (2nd), April Love Jordan (3rd) and Brenna Gamboa (4th).

Amman was named Ms. MyPhone and Ms. Olay, while Jordan won the special awards Ms. OraCare, Ms. Manila Hotel and the Best in Long Gown trophy.

All the winners accepted cash prizes, dental services, one year supply of Manny O. wines and luggage by World Travelers.

Held at the Tent City of the Manila Hotel, the event was attended by supporters and former title holders.

The 25 ladies were judged by known designer Raymund Isaac, footballer James Younghusband, TV5 executive Robet Barriero, actress Lorna Tolentino, Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, Congressman Sonny Angara and Senator Bong Revilla.

Other names spotted in Ms. World-Philippines were actor Marvin Agustin, Maria Isabel Lopez, Divine Lee, IC Mendoza and Victor Basa.

The event was hosted by television host Ruffa Gutierrez and actor Edu Manzano.

The reigning Ms. World-Philippines will travel to Inner Mongolia, China in August to represent the country in the international competition. (Sunnex)
