Fun run in Paranaque set for Jan. 27! Run for your health now!

Here’s an excellent opportunity to shed those fats, burn those calories, have a healthy exercise and meet up with friends! Join Parañaque City’s fun run.

Dubbed as “Teeth Run”, said activity is the Dental Division/Parañaque City Health Office’s opening activity for this year’s Dental Health Month. Collaborating for the success of the endeavor is the Office of Councilor Benjo Bernabe and the Parañaque Chapter of the Philippine Dental Association.

Parañaque Head Public Dentist Dr. Marissa Banta says that the project is a means for promoting the dental health advocacy. In her lectures, she emphasizes that dental health is essential to nutrition as it influences personality and productivity at work. She explains that poor dental health could result to speech problems; systemic problems like indigestion; loss of friends and confidence due to bad breath; gum infections; impaired functions; expensive surgeries and facial deformations.

“Teeth Run” is slated for January 27, 2013. Designated fun run route is the Parañaque C-5 Road Ext. near Multinational Ave. turning to SM City-Sucat and back to C-5 Ext Road.

The event is divided into three categories:  2K, 3K and 5K.  The registration fees are P200, P300 and P500 respectively.

“I am encouraging everybody to participate in the Teeth Run. This is a good opportunity for us to get a good exercise, contribute to a worthy cause and help in promoting the dental health advocacy in our community.” Mayor Jun Bernabe said.
